AN INTERN LED PROJECT
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Placeholder copy. The programme takes on a handful of interns each season and hands them real work from the first week — baking, packing, photographing, writing, and running the zine that goes out with every box.
Placeholder copy. Nobody fetches coffee. The things they make here go out to customers under their own names, and the ones who want to stay on generally do.
THE FORMATIVE MOMENT
Placeholder copy. It started with one tray, one borrowed oven and a list of names on the back of an envelope — the people who had said they would take a box if we ever actually made them.
Placeholder copy. The programme grew out of that same list. Everyone who works on the bakes now came through it.
Placeholder copy. What came out of it was a way of working rather than a job description — everyone bakes, everyone packs, and everyone has their name on something that leaves the building.
Placeholder copy. The zine is written the same way. Whoever has something worth saying that month writes it.
